Jesus from the Gospels
Though an extremely long film (clocking in at 371 minutes), Jesus of Nazareth tries to give a historical account of Jesus based on the Gospels. Here Jesus is seen not only as suffering, but as a teacher and healer too. This movie is a great attempt at putting onto film what the Gospels say Jesus was like. There are aspects of Jesus from all of the Gospels, not just one. If you can stand the length, this is a very moving movie, and a very good representation of what, from what we know, the real Jesus was actually like.
